Smoothies To Tickle Your TasteBuds

Smoothies are always on top health fanatics pages, but why are they so good for you?

Smoothies are a quick and easy way to get your fruit and veg in without putting in too much effort! As we know fruit and vegetables play a big part in a healthy lifestyle, so if you are not making the quota of 5 or 6 portions a day; you do yourself a disservice. There are so many nutrients to enjoy from fresh produce!

I recently won a Nutribullet from @Nutribrex (follow them on Instagram & Twitter!), which has in turn motivated me to get back into having smoothies.

Smoothies can form a great snack in between meals to keep hunger at bay, or even a meal replacement; if boosted with oats and protein.

Here are 3 great tasting smoothies you can try!

First things First..

  1. Tropical Delight

 

Ingredients:

Pineapple Chunks

Mango Chunks

A handful of Spinach

200ml Coconut Water

Perfect for those who want to ease into smoothies!

 

Next Smoothie On The Agenda..

2. The Green Smoothie

For those who want a detox and do not mind a less sweeter taste.

Ingredients:

Half of Granny Smith Apple

Mango Chunks

Pineapple Chunks

A handful of Spinach

A quarter of a Cucumber

A handful of Kale

One Stalk of Celery

200ml Coconut Water

Boost tip: Add Spirulina or Wheatgrass 

 

Last but not the least….

3. The Snickers Smoothie

A power boosting smoothie post workout!

Ingredients:

One Banana

1 scoop of Protein (whey, hemp or pea)

200ml Almond milk

2 tbsp smooth peanut butter (100% nuts )

1 tbsp cacao powder

2  tbsp maple syrup

A handful of spinach

Boost tip: Add Oats for a more filling smoothie

    Love a good smoothie, some good recipes here. The 3rd one is one of my favourites to make, not added maple syrup tho, don’t have much of a sweet tooth, but will she how it taste with the addition. 🙂
